PlayStation fans seem annoyed that State of Play didn’t reveal a new Batman game

Save State: Game On Sep 25, 2019

It’s Batman’s 80th anniversary, but those expecting to see anything Batman-related on the PlayStation State of Play video conference were left disappointed on Tuesday afternoon.

Gaming news outlet IGN dropped a poll on YouTube following the presentation asking fans which part of the conference was their favourite, and the top comments likely weren’t what was expected.

Alongside some disappointment that Ghost of Tsushima wasn’t shown, the Batman fans made themselves heard with loud frustration that Warner Bros. Montreal’s new teased Court of Owls game wasn’t revealed.

Warner Bros. Montreal has been teasing a new release, though, on Instagram. The studio that previously produced Batman: Arkham Origins has posted four symbols to their account with the caption “Capture the Knight / Cape sur la nuit”

Batman: Arkham Origins released on October 25, 2013. The most recent Batman title to this point is Batman: Arkham Knight from Rocksteady, a title that’s currently free on PlayStation Plus and the Epic Games store for PC.
